Thinking about Thinking

Thinking about thinking. Likes it sounds, you think about what you think, for example think about what you're going to say before you say it.

If you just talk without thinking, the person you're talking to might be offended or they might be feeling bad.

You should also think about your strategies, feelings and action because they also might affect others.

Thinking about thinking can be used in learning. For example, you've finished your project or a task and you can look back and think about what you can do to make it look better.

Just make sure you think about what you're doing and think if it's going to affect anyone and try to use to help you.

Thinking with clarity and presision

Thinking with clarity and precision means that you think
nicely and calmly and you don't get frustrated.
Because thinking means that you figure out things
and you don't get angry or annoyed if you cant get it.
When you think with clarity and precision you
think with an open mind and you let new ideas in and you
don't shut out information.

Learning Continuosly

Learning continuously means that you learn from experiences. Have humility and pride when admitting you don't know resist complacency which means you have a feeling of security and pleasure. When you learn from personal experiences you take what you have done like if you get in trouble and you break something you can learn to be more careful. Learning continuously means that you keep learning even when you think you have learnt enough.

Responding with Wonderment and Awe

Responding with wonderment and awe. Being able to find beauty in the world. Be passionate find the mysterious and enjoy every bit of it. Try to figure out the world. This is useful in history or Australian studies because it helps you look at the good things in the world not just the bad. BY Suh-Yun

Questioning and Posing Problems

Questioning and posing problems is about asking questions and answering problems. It helps you to answer big questions. You use or write little questions to answer a big question. It's good to get in the habit of writing small questions that relates to the big question because it's helpful for solving problems or answering questions.
It's also about gathering data and information from the small question and answering the big question with all the data you have.

Thinking Flexibly

Being able to change your perspective on things and being able to change your mind if there is a better alternative. Thinking Flexibly is very handy when your doing an assignment or debating an issue. eg if your doing some work and your topic is are drugs bad for you open your mind to both options.

Managing Impulsivity

Managing Impulsivity is being able to STOP and THINK in a situation. It is also about being calm and careful in a problem.

If you are able to stop and think about an issue before you go ahead and do it. Then you will do the right thing and figure out the problem in the correct way.
Otherwise if you don't "Manage Impulsivity" You might not do the right thing in a situation and things could go very wrong. And also if you didn't stay calm & stop to be able to think about the situation, to be able to solve it, you could become stressed and fail the problem. That would be bad, because being able to Manage Impulsivity is a great thing to be able to do and you will need it many times in later life to help you in different situations.

Finding Humour

Finding Humour is all about learning and working through humour.
If you learn and work through humour it'll be more easier and more enjoyable.
It's good to develop finding humour because it'll make you think positive and to think funny/good in bad situations.
Also being funny makes otherpeople happy and fun as well as you'll be able to laugh at yourself in a good way.

Thinking interdependantly

Thinking interdependently means you have to think as a group and to work as a group. When you think as a group you can get more ideas and share your opinions with each other. When you work as a group you cant just do it all yourself. You have to let others have a go but you cant just let everyone else do it all either you have to work as a team. If you work as a team you will get a better result and you will get it done faster. When you work interdependently you will have fun if everyone pulls their weight and you might learn from your other team members.

Applying past knowlege to new situations

They say that you learn something new each day. All that knowledge will help you one day in, at school/work or problems that you might face in your everyday life.
Every time you make a mistake, find something or do something good, You will learn something new, about what you have experienced. You can reflect back to that good or bad experience and that will help you solve or get through your problems. By Rachel

Gathering data through all senses

We have 5 main senses that our body uses to identify certain things.
These are sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell. They are all very important and we need them in our day to day life. Each sense does it's own thing and uses a part of our body to do so.

  1. Sight- uses our eyes-to observe the world around us

  2. Touch-uses our skin surface-to recognises textures of a substance or objects

  3. Taste- tongue, mouth-to taste the flavour of a food or liquid

  4. Hearing-we use or ears to hear- helps us recognise familiar sounds like people talking, birds singing and many other sounds

  5. Smell-uses our nose-closely relates to your sense of taste, if you smell something edible then you will quickly recognise the food it comes from if you have experienced/ate it before.

"Gathering data" is like getting info or collecting information.

"Through all senses" is like getting alot of info at the same time or using all our 5 senses at once to gather more accurate, reliable information.
